Privacy Policy
Your journal is private by default.
Effective 3 October 2026
TrekJournal stores the account and journey information you choose to provide so the service can authenticate you, sync your journal, and show journeys you explicitly publish or share by link.
Information we process
- Account identifiers such as your email address and sign-in provider identity.
- Journey titles, dates, descriptions, moments, and the media you choose to upload.
- Basic security and service logs needed to operate and protect the service.
Location and media
Exact route coordinates remain on your device unless a future feature clearly asks for separate consent. Uploaded photos are stored privately in Supabase Storage. TrekJournal does not modify or delete your original gallery media.
Sharing
Journeys remain private unless you choose public or link-only sharing. Revoking or rotating a link stops that link from authorizing future access. We do not sell personal information.
Social sign-in
If you continue with Google, Google confirms your identity and shares the basic account details needed to sign you in, such as your verified email address and profile name. TrekJournal does not request access to your contacts, Drive files, posts, or other Google content.
Service providers and retention
Supabase provides authentication, database, and private media storage. Cloudflare protects and delivers the website, and the application runs on an AWS Lightsail origin. Account and cloud journal data remain until you delete them or request deletion, subject to short operational backup and security-log retention.
Your choices
You can keep journeys private, remove shared links, delete uploaded content, sign out, or request account deletion. For privacy questions or deletion requests, contact the support address shown on the Google consent screen.
