These terms govern use of the TrekJournal web application. By creating an account or continuing with a supported sign-in provider, you agree to these terms.

Your journal

You retain ownership of your writing and media. You give TrekJournal the limited permission needed to store, process, and display that material according to the privacy and sharing choices you make.

Your responsibilities

Use accurate account information and protect access to your account.
Upload or publish only material you have the right to use.
Do not abuse, probe, disrupt, or bypass the service or another person's privacy.
Review shared journeys for exact locations, faces, travel documents, workplace material, and other sensitive information.

Availability and safety

TrekJournal is provided on an evolving, as-available basis. Keep copies of important material. TrekJournal is a journaling service, not a navigation, rescue, medical, legal, or travel-safety service; independently verify route, weather, border, and mountaineering decisions.

Accounts and termination

You may stop using the service at any time. We may restrict accounts that materially violate these terms or threaten the service or other users. Where practical, we will provide notice and a reasonable opportunity to export or remove personal material.

Changes

Material changes will be dated on this page. Continued use after a change takes effect means you accept the updated terms.
